With a fully operational SkyTrain line already linking The Brewery District to downtown Vancouver and the surrounding communities, creating a true "Transit Oriented Development" was a natural decision.
To encourage people to choose transit as often as possible, the site will be specifically designed to make accessing the Sapperton SkyTrain station safe, easy and pleasant. A handicap accessible pedestrian platform raised above natural grade will connect to the station plaza reception. Well lit access routes will weave through the retail and commercial buildings heightening safety by providing "eyes on the street."
More than that, the community will provide all the essentials of daily life within a five minute walk of transit, while creating new links to existing pedestrian and cycle paths beyond neighbourhood borders.
Our goal is to make eco-friendly travel options as convenient as possible. Because we want skipping the car to be the easiest choice of all.
